How do I convert a file?
Drop any file into the PrivateRemix window, or click “Choose File.” The app shows every format that file can become. Pick one, click Convert, and the converted file appears next to the original.
Where do my converted files go?
By default, next to the original file, with the new extension. Your original is never modified or deleted.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Every conversion runs entirely on your Mac, and PrivateRemix works without an internet connection. See our privacy policy — it's short.
Which formats are supported?
Images (HEIC, PNG, JPG, WEBP, SVG, GIF and more), video (MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM, AVI), audio (M4A, WAV, OGG, MP3), and documents (PDF, DOCX, EPUB). Open the Guide inside the app to browse everything your files can become.
A conversion failed or looks wrong. What do I do?
Email support@privateremix.com with the input and output format (for example, “MKV to MP4”), what happened versus what you expected, and your macOS version. Please don't send us the file itself unless we ask — we take our own privacy policy seriously.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds go through them: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and request a refund.
