PrivateRemix does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your data. Every conversion happens entirely on your Mac. Your files never leave your computer.
What happens to your files
When you convert a file, the work is done locally by your Mac's own processor. The app does not upload your files anywhere, does not create copies outside the output folder you choose, and does not keep any record of what you convert. When you quit the app, it knows nothing about your files.
What we collect
Nothing. PrivateRemix has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no tracking of any kind built into the app.
No cloud, no AI
Conversions use deterministic on-device engines — Apple's own frameworks and a bundled converter. Nothing is ever sent to the cloud or to an AI service to process your files.
What Apple collects
PrivateRemix is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple may provide us aggregated, anonymized download and sales statistics, and may collect crash reports if you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in macOS System Settings. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours, and none of it includes your files or their contents.
Purchases
Optional paid features are processed entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. We never see your payment details.
Network access
PrivateRemix's conversions work without an internet connection. The app does not phone home.
Children
PrivateRemix does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, we expect changes to be rare and boring.
